Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange Reading

Join us for a poetry reading from Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange! This event will feature Judith R. Robinson, Nick Romeo, Alyssa Sineni, and special guest Hiram Larew.

About the authors:

Hiram Larew's fourth collection of poetry titled Undone, was issued in 2018 by FootHills Publishing. His work to showcase poets in Prince George’s County resulted in The Poetry Poster Project which was supported by the County’s Arts and Humanities Council and which will soon be displayed at the Maryland House of Delegates. He has written and revised poetry while at the Weymouth Center in North Carolina, Bread Loaf Writers Conference, Rope Walk, the Catskills Poetry Conference, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and he has organized a number of poetry events that feature the diversity of voices in the greater D.C. area. He is a member of the Folger Shakespeare Library’s Poetry Board, and his poetry papers are held in the Washington Writers’ Archive at George Washington University’s Gelman Library.”

Nick Romeo is a multidisciplinary artist, musician and writer. Nick lives in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with his wife and cat named Megatron. Poet’s Haven press has recently released his first chapbook entitled, “The Insolent Somnambulist.”

Judith R. Robinson is an editor, teacher, fiction writer, poet and visual artist. A 1980 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, she is listed in the Directory of American Poets and Writers. She has published 75+ poems, five poetry collections, one fiction collection; one novel; edited or co-edited eleven poetry collections. Teacher: Osher at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Her newest collection, “Carousel,” was published in January, 2017, Lummox Press. Her last gallery exhibit “The Numbers Keep Changing,” was on display at The Pittsburgh Holocaust Center, April-June, 2019.

Alyssa Sineni is a metalsmith and writer. She is a member of The Pittsburgh Poetry Exchange, The Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh, The Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and she works as the Director of Programming for Art and Inspiration, which celebrates artists and writers. Ms.Sineni holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The State University College at Buffalo and a BA in Spanish Language from Slippery Rock University. She has had poems published in Soul-Lit, The Ekphrastic Review, Uppagus and Hot Metal Press.
